Very good resource if you're preparing for an overseas trip. Pictures, activities and questions throughout. Good quality.I bought these thinking it would be good for my 12 yo son. It was little below him though. We will still use, but would recommend for up to 10 yo.
The book is interesting, but I felt that rest of the Italy is not covered in as much detail. I would have preferred to have a couple of pages dedicated to each city, e.g. two pages for Florence, two for Venice etc. rather than an overall view of Italy. The guide for Rome is done really well.
I am very impressed with this series of books and think they are perfect for my 10 and 8 year old sons. It really covers the basics like language, money, food and culture then goes into detail about the main tourist sites we are going to visit. I love that it is interactive so the kids have to fill in pages, and there are challenges like find a statue and take a photo with it. The book is really going to help them learn about the culture and places they are visiting.
A fun book which we purchased prior to our trip to Italy. My 7 year old enjoyed it and because he read the book, he was even more excited about the trip because we were visiting some of the places that he read about.
I bought this for my 10 year old grandson so he could start his journey through Italy. We plan on vacationing there this summer and he wanted to know more about the country, customs and food. He loves it.
We’d been to Italy before, but our young son hadn’t. We wanted him to fall in love with the country as much as we did … Thanks to this book he already loved the idea of Italy before we even arrived. Completing the pre-travel activities helped him to understand more about the trip AND kept him quiet giving us space to pack! Throughout our holiday the book was never far away, and he soaked up the information like a sponge. Not only did it give him lots of fun on vacation, but also taught him many things. Good job!
Great Travel Guide!Received this guide as a gift and we were pleasantly impressed by it's attention to detail and colorful design.Although created for kids... I have to tell you as a grown up I was quite amazed by the destination & interest points. I love the Q&A for the kids and tips for us parents! An absolute fun piece to have and cherish for any trip for your family and your kids!!I will be buying these for my friends who have children traveling to certain destinations.
