I thought I would use this book as a starting place for my kindergartener -- I think he is ready for the parts of speech.It turns out my third-grader is completely captivated -- that's a great book. When the big kid reads it to the little kid, we have a winner.I think the illustrations are simply amazing -- they carry the learning to a much deeper level.Nice that there is an activity at the end of the book for the kids to do.I also recommend verb, pronoun, and noun -- I have all four.
I used this book after teaching adjectives to first graders and before giving a test. The kids loved it and I'm sure it helped to improve their scores.
This is a great book to use when teaching adjectives. I would recommend it to every first grade teacher. thanks

This book was a big help with teaching children what adjectives are and helping them to "see" the words. The kids loved the book, especially the pictures!!!
