I thought I would use this book as a starting place for my kindergartener -- I think he is ready for the parts of speech.It turns out my third-grader is completely captivated -- that's a great book. When the big kid reads it to the little kid, we have a winner.I think the illustrations are simply amazing -- they carry the learning to a much deeper level.Nice that there is an activity at the end of the book for the kids to do.I also recommend verb, adjective, and noun -- I have all four.
This brief rhyming book does a great job of explaining pronouns. I use it as a lead into flannel board work with root words and pre-fixes. I have color coded the prefixes, so only correct choices will match up with appropriate root words. Once the students master the conceps, they are ready to independently complete written work. Suitable for grades 2 - 6.
I teach first grade and my students loved this book! It is a creative fun way to introduce pronouns. The students loved the illustrations as well! All teachers should have this in their personal library!
I loved this and it went great with the lesson plan I had to create. The story was cute and the kids loved it.
