This was such a great book, I couldn't put it down. It had so many twists and turns in it. After what happened to her parents, she didn't trust anyone. After 8 years in an orphanage she was released and sent back to the home where it all happened. Her best friend was there for her and and so much happened she thought she was losing her mind. You will have to get the book to find out the rest, but you won't regret it. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. It was that good.
This mystery was a great read. Samantha has a style of writing Amish mysteries that keep you wanting more. I'm am sure that you will love this ebook and agree with me that it is spellbinding! You won't believe how this ends. EXCELLENT story.
This book was basically a good read, but the first part took forever to get going and then the last part finished up a little too fast. Some of the characters went from evil intentions to remorseful, changed and now a good person in just a few pages. I found that a little disconcerting. The storyline was good, though; it just needed a little more fleshing out to make things happen in a more realistic timeline.
The story is disjointed, jumps around too much, and is hard to read. Very below par in comparison to the excellent novels Ms. Bayarr usually writes. The second book,"Sins of the Father," is as bad as this one. The whole story plot needs smoothing out and made more readable.
Given To Me For An Honest ReviewThe Amish Girl: Amish Romance Mystery Suspense (Pigeon Hollow Mysteries Book 1)The Amish Girl by Samantha Bayarr is one book you need on your bookshelf. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat until you find out who did what and why. The rollercoaster ride that you take will be one of a kind and you'll hold on tight and won't get off until you see it all. You find a few twists and turns while you read and before you realize it you'll feel like you are being drawn in and are becoming a part of the story. I can tell you bits but I won't you will need to read this to believe what you are reading. This is an amazing book. You need to have a copy on your bookshelf and there are always times throughout the year that a gift of this book would be great to give. I gave this book 5 stars but wish I could give it more because it deserves many more. I very highly recommend this book to everyone. I now find myself waiting for Samantha Bayarr to hit another one out the ballpark .... keep them come Ms. Bayarr.
I hate writing a negative review for anything, but don't waste your time or money on this one. I was willing to overlook the liberties taken with the Amish lifestyle and it didn't start out too badly. However, the whole thing just falls apart by the end. By the middle of the book, things seemed to just happen for no reason - as though the author just skipped over the explanation. By the last quarter of the book, it felt like she just wanted to be finished. No continuity. It was just dreadful & I can't believe I actually finished it! The ending made about as much sense as if the author had just written out one of her dreams...as in NO sense whatever!!
I have read every book by this author and I have to say this one is by far the best.I loved all the other books as well. This book combines 2 of my favorites: Amish and mystery.I do hope that Samantha will continue to write more books like this one in the future.
This book grabs your attention from the first sentence. A real page turner. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Lots of twists and turns. I hope the author writes more of this type of book. It left me wanting more.
