Praying and reading God's word are things that I do not do with any regularity. I avoid these things out of fear. Fear of doing it wrong, of being vulnerable, of the changes that letting God really, truly into my life and heart will bring. This book took me gently by the hand and heart and reminded me that I'm going to be okay. It gave me a safe place to open myself up to Christ's love and leading. I feel encouraged and empowered. This book will take you through vulnerable and uncomfortable topics and, with grace and care, give you the space to open yourself up to becoming the beautiful, brave, and bold woman that God always knew you could be. Now it's time to believe in you. You can do it, sweet one.
The battle between dreaming and doing is one with which I'm all too familiar. I love the idea of a resource that encourages and inspires women to slow down and pray to the God of the universe who supplies both the dream and the power to do. May God-inspired dreams come true for our great joy and His great glory as a result of this book.
In Kindle book format this book is impossible to read!!! Font is WAY TO SMALL and you CAN NOT enlarge it. I have been told by other friends that the book has great stuff but I can't read it!! Had to order it in print. I would like a refund for the kindle version. .
There are so many devotionals out there for women that tell us to be great wives and mothers. They focus on the Proverbs 31 aspect of a Christian woman. And while these are well and good, they leave out a significant portion of God's gift to us. He plants dreams in each of our hearts. This book draws those dreams out and covers them in prayer. Beautiful!
As I read, I thought, “How did they know what I was going through?” Because we are often building and dreaming in isolation, it can feel like you’re the only one but you’re not. I celebrate the transparency of the authors. As a business owner who walks women through discovering and building their God-given dreams, I know these prayers will be a resource for all of us as we juggle many roles. Along with my Bible, I’ll continue to run to these prayers when I’m feeling empty and even when my cup is full.
I've purchased my share of 'self-help' books. I can assure you that is not what this book is. Somehow these women knew exactly what I needed to hear. It's tempting to put everyone's dreams ahead of our own but we need to lift each other up and remind one another that something as simple as a prayer can change everything. I have read these prayers over and over again. Thank you for this grace-filled reassurance.
As a fellow dreamer and doer, I loved this book! It is so well done! Kelly and Jenn obviously understand the heart of a creative soul and work hard to come alongside and encourage those of us who can identify and relate. The chapters are not too long so you can read one section a day. I can't wait to read it again!
I so want to read this devotional again! This was so right on time for me. I liked the fact that the devotionals were written by different authors, so I gained a different perspective on the various topics that were included.
