Love the show, love that there are books to go along with the episodes! This episode is one of my favorites to play for my son (15 months) -- at his age he cries with fear at the doctor and I think this episode will help him as he begins to watch it more. His doctor is a Pakistani-American woman as well and I do love that this show has included diverse backgrounds for it's characters so most children will find them to be relatable.
My 2 year old niece is a big fan of both playing doctor and Daniel Tiger, so this was a no-brainer when it came to picking out Christmas gifts. She loves it and my brother and sister-in-law love it too. Great way to prep little ones for what a trip to the doctor is like.
I read this book to my 3 yr old son every night for 2 weeks before going to the doctor. It really helped. I thought he was going to freak out when the Dr. wanted to look in his ears or take his temperature. He did really well and even got excited to stand on the scale. I would recommend using the book and pretending to go to the Dr. prior to going and you will have success! My son loves all the Daniel Tiger books.
My son loves the show on Netflix. I hoped this book would help him to remember and recollect scenes and events from the episode of the show. And that is what it does. He likes to point out and tell me what Daniel is doing.
Good book for preparing your little one for a Dr. visit. My son loves Daniel Tiger so he enjoys this book. We also purchased a kids Dr. set and used both to get him used to what happens at his Dr. appointments.
Too wordy. I bought it for my 3 year old and he gets bored with it after the first page. I may have to wait another year which isn't the reason I bought the book. He has a horrible fear of the Doctor and I thought this may help.
We just love this series - the books are well written and the art work is terrific! Follows the show's story line and overall feel very well.These books teach about compassion, patience, how to express feelings, and generally how to be a kind and caring human being.
This was nice to have as I prepared my son for a check-up. He's 4 and loves Daniel Tiger. The books have a lot of words to them in my opinion considering the age group they're for, but he likes to look at the pictures, anyway!
