I am from Pakistan. I wanted to get into civil engineering back home, but failed in math. I started BS in Statistics and Math with a new vigor, but despite efforts could not do well in Math, Algebra. Then in 1987, I came to US. I got my BS in 1994, but I passed all math subjects with a lot of hard work.Honestly, even today I have nightmares that I am not getting my BS because I am failing in math.Now that I have kids and I got your book "Algebra I and II", I read it like a magazine and understand all concepts. I almost had tears in my eyes that my kid was able to understand concepts in first attempt.I wish you had written and published this book some 20 years earlier!!!!Irfan1@hotmail.com
Solid, brief overview of Algebra I. I needed to refesh my knowledge of Algebra quickly before a tutoring session and this book helped a lot. It did not go into enough Algebra II to merit 5 stars, though.
This book is a great refresher for anybody coming back to math after a long break. Very simple and clear. Worth a look. Borrow from your library.

I have not taken algebra for 30 years and decided to go back to school to finish my degree. Unfortunately my degree requires calculus. You must know algebra before starting calculus. This book was able to bring me up to snuff enough to move onto calculus with very little problems. Thank you. Very organized and easy to understand even for an old timer like me.
