I had just had my anti-depression medications rebalanced and was lying in bed thinking how hopeless everything was. I had bought this book because my prayer group was going to study it together. I couldn't pray but happened to pick up the book to take a look~ just reading the book jacket starting me thinking that I could pray with praise. I had started feeling that I couldn't pray anymore. I felt a tiny glimmer of hope.Now that my meds have taken effect and we are studying this book together and praising the Lord, every day gets better and better.
I ride a metro train every day. This book allows me some quiet time during the morning and I really enjoy reading and re-reading these prayers.
When you dont know exactly what to say its useful to be reminded to be grateful - which is escencially what this book does. By citing from the Bible it helps us be thankful to God and in a "silent prayer" mode. And maybe after reading the prayer our own ideas are more likely to surface too. I like it.
Seeking an understanding of how to pray and what to pray about, this book has been inspirational. It has prayers giving praise, offering thanks, seeking forgiveness and many more. I can say that it has helped me greatly.

Once again Stormie Omartian has written a wonderfully inspirational book about prayer. I have given copies to a couple friends who are going through rough times and they have found it to be very uplifting. I haven't read a book of her's that I haven't loved. Very reasonably priced.
