I can remember reading the comics when my parents would go out for the night, I was fascinated by the realness of the drawings, the wording, the touch of scifi made for great reading. I moved out and moved on, but a part of me still pined for the comics, they were my friends when I was all alone. So if you need an affordable read, with kickass drawings, lots of punk rock fury and beautiful ladies: buy these books, now I am asking for the new series for Christmas.
By the time I got to this book, there was no stopping me. I had to literally force myself to slow down, so that I could savor the stories longer. I was so sad to have finished it, however now I'm reading the books following it... and still loving it. Jaime has really created something special with the dynamic relationship between Maggie and Hopey.
Haven't read it just yet, one of the great Slice of Life comics, makes incredible reference and illustration inspiration.
