A powerful reminder of the important contribution women in the scriptures have made. It tells accounts of brave women standing firm for the right. I bought the ebook and that was a mistake. This is a brief book with gorgeous illustrations. Get the real book and read the stories to your daughters (and sons)!
I loved the first book from these authors, I am thrilled with this second offering! This book beautifully highlights the women who are mentioned in the Book of Mormon. We know there were many women in the Book of Mormon and that they were highly respected by the men who wrote it, "Yea, I do not doubt their mothers knew it!" But this book adds to our imagination in a delightful way.Once again, I love the way the text helps to open our eyes to how we (or our daughters or granddaughters) might be like these courageous, strong women who choose God.
It was nice for my girls to learn of women in the Book of Mormon. They were surprised to learn Nephi had sisters. It's empowering for them to know there are many righteous women who had influence during this time.
A 12' X 12' color drawing book features tales about females in 'The Book of Mormon'. Most of the stories occur in the Promised Land. Topics include love of bad sons unconditionally, pray for husband's safety, sisters breaking with tradition, baptism, begging, fainting faith, a spy, promise keepers, and a visit with Jesus. Each topic includes two color images and is accompanied by a tree. Includes a question about the story and verse about what occurred. Interesting to see how the characters involved are portrayed.
I adore this book and its companion volume with stories of women from the Bible. My children pore over the gorgeous illustrations and read the stories over and over. Very well done.

A wonderful book to teach my Granddughter about strong and rightous woman. The type of hero I want my Granddaughter to become.
