The author really knows his subject. The book holds your interest right to the end! I have saved it in my Kindle to read again. I may read it more than twice at this point. It is just so very good.HIGHLY recommended!!!!
This book is a very good, Scripturally and scientifically based defense of creation as presented in the Bible as opposed to the main stream scientific view of evolution and an incredibly old universe.I found the book to wander a bit and repeat itself. Also, I thought that some of the scientific proof for a young earth could be better organized and more specific. However, the ICR website contains copious amounts of scientific evidence for a young earth to supplement Dr. Morris's book. The conflict between world views represented by the Bible and evolution is presented very well. The influence of our world view on the interpretation of historical scientific data is also discussed in detail.I highly recommend this book to both Christians and those wanting to explore an alternative view for our origin and purpose than that offered by evolution.
I have read books by other creationists and I believe in creationism myself. However, Morris' books are just so hard to get through. It should be compelling but it isn't, it is just dry. Too many of these creationist writers try to pump books out so often they flood the market with this kind of stuff. I highly suggest reading something a little better like the text book, "In the beginning.." good stuff in there. Don't waste your time on this book.
Very informative, with a Biblical perspective. Very supportive of the Biblical Creation story without 'talking down'. Morris is an engaging writer with a wide command of his facts.
If it were possible to rate this at zero stars, I would. Based soley on the sample, I have yet to read such twaddle. Painfully obvious that evolution and creationism are compatible.
