Way too much useless, unreadable junk. Some tickled me though I wouldn't buy the original (these are all samples). But, maybe half I just couldn't get anything out of. So much pointlessness - is it down to America's production in 2015 or the editor's taste? Several standout normal comics, but I knew about all but two already.
A lot of incomprehensible, stream-of-consciousness junk. Very little depth here aside from a couple gems in the rough. The excerpts in this edition are particularly frustrating, as ideally they would tell a whole and interesting story or give you a good idea on what you would expect from the author. Unfortunately, it does neither of these well. A low point over the last couple of years. The one positive is there is a wide variety of interesting art styles in this book.
Typically for the series to date, some are outstanding and some left me scratching my head. I appreciate craft— draftsmanship, storytelling, etc. When one of these elements are missing, it's a disappointment.Why some stories, when compared to the entire field, made the cut is beyond my understanding.
