I had this book many, many years ago; someone borrowed and never returned. I found this updated version has more questions for older "kids," teens in fact. I wish there were more questions for 5-10 year olds. Still fun though--just takes more effort to find appropriate questions than I remember.
This is a fantastic book that encourages family discussions. As a parent, grandparent, teacher and school counselor, I have known many families who have found this book to be an invaluable resource in their home library. It can be a fun way to enliven discussions during family meals. Parents always have the option of selection out questions they feel are not age-appropriate. I highly recommend this book to all parents of young children.
Some of the questions in this book go beyond what I would want my 7 year old thinking about. One example question "If someone came into your classroom and said you can sacrifice yourself and die right now and save your classmates or save yourself and all your classmates die immediately. What would you do? I am all for deep thought provoking questions, but some of these take it a bit far for children.
I was shocked to see some of the questions. Should be for teenagers and older, not for young kids. I expected this to be more fun, age appropriate questions for kids. One question asked what you would do if you found your neighbors dog dead. I would not get this if you are looking for more fun, easy questions to ask kids.

A completely interesting book for kids of just about any age - leading them to evaluate their thoughts, morals and general views of life. Great.
