As a school teacher in an area of mixed cultures I always look for literature that helps to bridge the cultural divide. I was very lucky to stumble upon this tale of one girls dream that she was determined to prove possible. The Spanish and English translations sharing the same page create a wonderful opportunity for classmates to share knowledge and information about their cultural background. This story is also one that helps bring about awareness of gender equality that is far too often ignored at a young age. The amazing art and colorful illustrations will help to keep the interest of wide audience of readers. The author has a wonderful talent at telling a tale that all ages will enjoy. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I look forward to more adventures of the girl in the pink fire truck.
