This book started out good but it needed to be longer. It's not fair to the reader to et them interested in the story line then just end it as if the writer was bored and couldn't be bothered with it anymore.
Even though the story was short, it felt like you really knew the characters and their backgrounds. It would have been perfect with a little epilogue... but overall I would definitely recommend reading it.
Nora is hiding out on the LeFleur grounds in a shed when Freddy the gardener finds her. She tells him her plight and he helps her, by buying her a ticket to Laramie to meet Mr. Harrison. She meets Bram a friend of hers and Grace who has run from the mansion also. Bram helps her on the train with food he gets from the kitchen, he works for the railway. The arrive in Laramie and Bram takes her to seamstress shop where she comes face to face with Grace and finds out that Grace is married. Read to see if she marries Mr. Harrison after she meets him.
A young maid is raped by her employer's son. She becomes a mail order bride and after meeting her intended, he refused to marry her. She is a long way from home, but miracles do happen. This is definitely a five-star rating book.
Another example of joy after suffering from abuse by an employers son. The orphaned lady worked for a well to do family and was attacked by the son, she left and went west as a mail order bride only to find a man she grew up with on the train. A must read for those who enjoy historical western romance kindle books from at a special price and from a delightful author who keeps me entertained throughout the entire book before putting it down. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
