This is an exceptionally difficult book to review because the story is heartbreaking and how do you rate a tragedy? This review is of the writing.I felt that the story line was very stereotypical and superficial. Very little was portrayed in any depth. The events were described and but not explored so I felt distanced from the situation as I would reading a brief newspaper article. This was most evident in Steven's friendships which felt like just by the way I know these two people not like friends who would have more intimate knowledge of each other. As there was little depth to their friendship any romance came across as false.@crushingcinders
Definitely worth the read. Gut wrenching to know this goes on in our world.
