June Peters, is a vibrant ten year old girl who understands the importance of giving. She's determined to make a difference in the world and will do whatever it takes to complete her mission. However, she learns a valuable lesson about talking to strangers and giving away her lunch money. June is still eager to help those in need even if it means losing the one privilege she worked so hard for. June, like many innocent and naive children, does not understand why her act of kindness is both well received by others, but worrisome to her parents. June is remarkable and this story will encourages children and adults alike to see, to feel, and to take action in order to help those in need. This book is not only great as a bedtime story but is also a great fit for the classroom.

This book was a good read for my children ages 8 & 9. They liked that she was able to help the homeless. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends & family with children so they can learn selflessness & the safe way to go about it at a young age.

My dogs and I really enjoyed this book about a little girl who is so selfless that she gives away her lunch money to a homeless person she meets on the way to school. Her mom wants her to be careful and not just talk to random strangers, so they decide to do something more to help the homeless community in their city. June spearheads an idea for a Feed The Homeless Day and gets all of her friends and family to participate. The results are amazing! The story is a definitely a feel good one with a positive message. We really enjoyed the illustrations as well. They were so vivid and colorful.

Such a cute well writen book. My daughter totally enjoyed reading this book. She said to me mommy I can change the world to thanks Alika you go girl coming from where we did it's ALWAYS amazing and wonderful to see people doing better than what we saw growing up

This is a great book for children of any age in need of an inspirational message of affecting change in their community and world.Job well done to the creators of this wonderful book! I love the illustrations and the positive loving interactions between June and her family. This book is exactly what is needed to set an example for the kinds of families our world needs more of:loving and supportive of children and their dreams. True story of Umoja-unity!!

Great read! Sparked the drive for change in my 4 year old daughter. It feels wonderful to read a story to her with someone who looks like her. Nice, bright pictures and easy to follow storyline. Can't wait to read more about Miss June! ''''

Alika Turner , I just finished reading June Peters You Will Change The World One Day. Though it is a children's book, I enjoyed June and how she wanted so badly to change the world. She experienced happiness inside by doing so. It was a great read for ages 7-9. The book was motivating , inspirational and full of colorful pics.

My daughter was given this book as a gift for Christmas last year. She loves books with 'brown people'. It's so refreshing to look at a book on a shelf and it literally looks just like your child. From the glasses to the big hair, my daughter was SO excited to get this book and fell in love with June's character and her family. I did, too. The author is great. She truly captured the heart of a child; to them nothing is impossible! June is an example of determination...and a blossom of the seeds that we plant in our children to BELIEVE in themselves and NEVER give up. You CAN change the world by simply being the change you want to see. Also to be noted, the illustrator is the BEST I've seen in kids books, and I've read hundreds of books to my daughter. This book gets read at least once a week. My daughter said she can't wait to read the next one, and hopes that it's longer. Whatever the case, I'm SOLD. Why be a princesses in a fairy tale, when you can be a JUNE and change the world?! Love that kid's attitude :)

So much I loved about this book for my 7 year old. Not only was it a story about giving and having compassion for all, but it shows children that they too can have an impact in today's world with their hopes and dreams. I look forward to a series of books about June and the many adventures she will go on, because she is the example of kindheartedness and putting others before her own needs. A true example of what God wants us all to be, and the author captured that and was able to deliver that message in a children's book in a way they could understand. In a world with so much selfishness, it's books with characters like June Peters that we hope our children will remember and be that example in their own community.
