I have 3 & 5 yr. old boys. This book goes from Jan 1 to Dec 31 and you read one short page each day. At the top of each page there is a very short Bible verse. Then 1-2 short paragraghs simply describe in easy terms any child can understand that days verse. We read our Bible page after we read our library books each nite just before lights out. It only takes 2 minutes tops. Then there is a short rhyming sentence at the end of each page that sums up that days' message. The boys like to repeat this out loud. When we have read through this whole book, I will start again and read it for another year. The boys do enjoy this ritual. I believe they are tired at the time we read it, but I want our very last thoughts and words of each day to be kind hearted words describing how much God loves them and how incredible and special they are. This book does that.I am glad we use this book.
I have a 3 year old girl and we enjoy looking at the pictures and talking about the stories. I like that each section is short and has a great part on applying the lesson. She is a little young for most of the ideas in the book, but I really look forward to using then more as she grows. Overall a great tool for teaching and applying the Bible.
This lessons were short and sweet. The children didn't like them at first. When I continued they started to warm up to the idea.
The book is a great book. We will enjoy it very much.
