Great - Bible For Girls: Great Bible Stories For GirlsI bought this yesterday and I’m already reading it, I wanted to read it first to me and then read it to my granddaughter, I read the Bible many times before and to see the stories of the main character’s on the old testament come to life in (carton) it was very nice the adaptation they did to tell the stories like Adam & Eve, Moses and Noah, the eBook takes a very large portion devoted to the Old Testament and just about ¼ to the New Testament, I had a very nice time going to the stories… I liked it and imaging that my grandson will love it too as this will be his introduction to the Bible itself… I recommend so enjoy.This is my first impression of, and limited experience with, the product. As part of my commitment to the product manufacturer, as well as the community, I will continue to update this review as I learn more about the product. Consequently, my product rating may go up or down over time. I purchased this product at a discounted price or obtained it at no cost so I could offer my unbiased and honest review of it. I received Kindle Ebook - Bible for Girls: Great Bible Stories for Girls for free or at a discounting exchange for my honest review. I assume this is just a sample of the book that I was offered for free as only two stories were included. The first story is “God’s Green Thumb” and tells of the creation of Adam and Eve and the fall of man. The second is entitled “The Pits” and tells the story of Jacob’s brothers selling him. Some of the illustrations are fun nd some are completely irrelevant. They remind me of something I would have done when I first discovered clip art on junior high. Others are wildly inappropriate for a children’s Bible. I was going to include a particularly distasteful depiction of Eve, but read on another review that blocked another reviewer’s screen shot of the same page. There is another photo of a man being choked and I really have no idea why it is in there. The stories are kind of dumbed down, but in a less intelligent way than I prefer for my child to read. There are also some pages with back to back unrelated clip art pictures. I do not recommend this book for children on the basis of both the writing and especially, the illustrations. I am not sure why this book is described as specifically for girls. I also do not know what the intended age group is for this book, but when I saw that it was for “girls,” I downloaded it for my rising Kindergartener. I will be removing this from the Kindle App. There are much better children’s bibles out there to choose from.
This book explains things in a way that is easy for young girls to understand. The text in it can be a little hard to read, especially for younger children that are starting out. I think this book is more for kids that are probably around 8 and up. It mainly covers Adam and Eve. It's not super long, but for the price, it is a pretty good deal. She is still a bit too young for it, so I may have jumped the gun on this one. The stories are not bad, they seem to be pretty well written. The pictures are not bad either, they are pretty nice just a bit mature. That being said I do think I ordered this a bit too soon for my little one.
