I am using this book with a 6 year old who learned writing in print in Kindergarden, but is currently in Montessori and cursive is a part of their curriculum. My child has problems focusing, but this program is working great. The letters are grouped logically according to the stroke, there is an explanation how to form the stroke correctly and a practice page for each stroke along with pages to practice particular letters and words using these letters. This is the first program that I came across that demonstrates cursive so systematically.I bought a more expensive program before, but ended up running into this book and decided to give it a try. So far it's one of the best instructional cursive books / workbooks that I know of.In my opinion, this book is great for learners of all types, but also for children who have sensory issues and ADHD. The cover says 8+ on the age recommendation, but I would start as early as Kindergarden if you are a Montessori-style parent.The pages are reproducible if you make a copy for practice.
Six pages of information and the rest is a workbook! Not at all as described. I expected more than a half page of information on left handed writers.
This is GREAT! My kids both loved that it had left handed instructions, like it was made specially for them!
