When my 3 year old daughter asked for an ereader last Christmas, she received an Android tablet with Kindle for Android (as well as other ebook applications). It seems that only recently have illustrated, color children's books began to come to the Kindle. So I was elated to find an indie illustrated, color children's book!The cute, colorful pictures are great even for children that can't yet read - they can guess the rhyme from the picture, as well as try to find the bird in each picture. The easy to read rhymes are great for new readers. The "story" itself is cute and kept my daughter hooked. This book also has much better formatting than any other illustrated children's Kindle book I have seen.If you have young kids, buy this book now!
Do you like to ask questions?The author, Gerald Hawksley, has written a fun book for young children. I remember when my two year olds would ask questions, and I would try to answer the best I could. In this book ,many questions are asked, and the questions are all answered. However, these answers are super. All the questions and answers are done in rhyme. What a fun time for all.Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The questions and answers are so much fun, the children may laugh and squeal, as will their adults. Some of the answers are so silly, like:'If you have a bed bug. You put him in a bed'. Everyone knows you don't want bedbugs in your bed. This is a great ebook to read to your young children. This ebook has some great Illustrations and is an ebook you can read over and over again and the kids will love it and the adult will too.I am in my 70's and I liked it very much and recommend it very highly.
This was pretty good. I didn't think it would be at first, but my daughter enjoyed following along. I followed the writer's advice and paused before I read each rhyming word. My daughter was actually able to guess the correct word in the screen (I have the ebook). Plus, she smiled and laughed when we finished reading. I'm glad I got this book.
this book is ADORABLE!!! not only does my 4 year old sister love it ("that's so silly sis! i love that book!"), but i, at 16 going on 17, enjoyed reading it to her. plus, you can't beat a free book that only takes 1 MB! this book has lots of pages, with a small picture and half a sentence on each page. enjoyable and understandable even on black and white kindles. :)
Our 5 yr old, who doesn't typically enjoy being read to, really loved this one. It captured his imagination all the way through, and had him giggling right through to the end. I recommend this one, especially for those with little ones who don't like to sit still long enough for a book. Swift, simple, sweet, silly and fun!
