Wonderful gift for my 3 year old grandson. He recognizes many of the Minnesota scenes. This is a beautiful series of board books. Highly recommend. Plus there are little regional jokes for the grownups to find.
I really like these books. I have Goodnight World and Goodnight California. They're cute, colorful and somewhat educational in a random "fun fact" sort of way. The only thing I dislike is how similar they are to each other. They follow the same pattern and have some of the same scenes. That's the only thing that keeps me from buying a few more.
The theme of our preschool summer camp was "Sightseeing Around the World". Since we live in Utah, we started with this book and then went on to "Good Night, America" and "Good Night, World". These books were a great way to introduce our themes with colorful pictures and simple words. The board books are great for all those little hands to use. They should last us quite awhile.
I work at a library and when I saw this come in for the children's area, I knew I had to get it for my Minnesotan nephew! I know that as he gets older, he is only 10 months old, his parents will be taking him to many of these places. I hope to take him to some of them too as some of my favorite MN locales are presented.
It's a book, and it has some things about Minnesota in it. But there is no poetry here, no rhythm. It's just a series of poorly strung together sentences about random Minnesota scenes. I would pass.
Cute book. I'm so glad to live during a time where pretty much anything can be purchased online. My wife was thrilled to receive this little book about her home state. My daughters enjoyed it as well when we read it before our road trip to the "Holy Land."
Love these Goodnight books!!!! The World is the longest one yet and it has wonderful mentions! We read the Goodnight books each night. We buy the books for eveywhere my daughter (2 years old) has been.
Love these books to remind our kids of our trips to where mom and dad are originally from. Fun way to familiarize them with our roots and helps them to recognize things when we travel again to these locations.
