I passed Excel 2013 Expert Parts I and II, and used this book as the guide when studying for both exams. Using the book was an advantage in appreciating the matching of required skills to the published skills measured, but it fell way short in terms of topic depth - the material is shallow, and the practice content is very limited.As a study 'guide' it does exactly what it says on the cover, but I would not rely on it to pass the exams. As companions to this book, I would recommend the Excel 2013 Inside Out book, the Excel 2013 Wiley Bible, and the Office Excel 2013-related training videos (in my opinion these Microsoft videos are priceless, yet free :-)In addition, the Excel 2013 online help files and downloadable workbooks are a MUST USE resource when working your way through this guide book.For the record, I did not pass Part I first time around, but I did pass Part II on the first go. For me, obtaining MOS 2013 Master was much harder than 2003, 2007, and 2010. With the new exam content and format, you really need to ramp up your skill levels before attempting the 2013 MOS exams!
Covers the material but does not prepare you for the test. The test is purposefully misleading in places. This book covers much more material than is tested and does so very shallowly. Unfortunately I don't know of a better resource. Be prepared to take the test more than once.
I came to believe not everything I read in review sections after I bought this book. Because I had refered to reviews for this book.This book is like a man is murmuring about some knowledge he has in a very self-oriented way but not actually explaining anything at all.Every explanation in this book is shallow and does not seem to even bother to give any meaningful information. For example, it doesn't give specific option names but just use generic terms such as "appropriate", which gives frustration and flabbergasting disappointment.This is the most outrageous and absurd guide book which I have ever read or bought.
