We've been working through this book as an adult Sunday School class for 4 weeks now, and it has not failed to deliver. The book does a great job of making Proverbs more contextual. I had always seen Proverbs as almost a list bumper sticker sayings, but seeing them in context has helped greatly.
I have to admit, I purchased the book months ago for our womens study group but never got into it. The 1st night the girls were all talking about how they loved that the style of study made them look at things a bit differently and how they learned from the experience. By the end of the study, several of them had given up stating that all the coloring and underlining etc.. was a bit too overwhelming. Many choose to continue the study but without all the extra work that was intended to be put into it.
While it is a very thorough study of proverbs, some may not like this study because of the very particular instructions. It requires you every day to circle certain words in very particular ways ("mark 'wisdom' with a purple cloud shaded in light purple. Put a red box around fools and shade the box green."). Our group did not like this persistent part of the study as we felt that constantly marking obvious words such as Lord, wisdom, and sons distracted from focusing on the actual point of the passage. Best part of the study is the day seven questions which tend to be more practical and applicable to daily life. Overall, I would not recommend this book.
This Bible study is targeted for women, I didn't realize it when I purchased it. I wasn't disappointed though, it has many good ideas and principles for the study of Proverbs.
Kay Arthur and Pete DeLacy do a great job of exploring Proverbs, helping students apply what is being taught and initiating great discussion.

The Study book is a good way to work through Proverbs. And it teaches how to treat family , friends and money
This new Inductive way of studying is very enlightening. Many Scriptures you have skimmed over in the past can now come to life and supply the knowledge you have missed in previous readings.
