Mac Arthur writes extremely well, but, in my opinion, reaches unsupported conclusions about the lives of some of these "extraordinary women." He makes assumptions about their hearts and their motives which he cannot know and with which I disagree.
This is an excellent companion to Dr. MacArthur's book. The questions are thought provoking and challenging. It works well for a study for one alone or in a group.
This Bible study is excellent! It requires you to put on your thinking cap, but you won't be disappointed as you are challenged by the lives of these 12 women. The author asks questions to review and then makes the lessons personal by having you answer specifically to your situation. It will excite you to further study the Word of God, Your love for God and His Word will increase as you study the depth of His love for these imperfect women. Then it will continue to grow as you realize how He can transform any woman to become extraordinary as we yield to Him, Love this studyl
I am so bummed that I can't use this workbook without buying yet another book. I was hoping to use the workbook with my Bible only. I feel like this workbook could be included at the back of the regular book.
I ordered this book to compliment the Tweleve Extraordinary Women book our BIble Study wasexploring. The workbook offers great questions and is the perfect companion to the book.Exploring great women from the Old Testatment through the New it covers insights into Eve as well as Mary, our blessed mother, and strong early Christian women. The book arrived in good shape, was sold at a good price, was well packaged and arrived quickly.
The book was in great shape. Content is through and challenges the reader. More in dept h then the average book due to the author and how he gets deeper into the women's lives. It is easy reading and detailed so that you can almost feel like the women you are studying.
Some friends and I are doing this study. The soft back book has thought provoking questions for each chapter. (The hard back book does not have questions.) The workbook questions and comments are good, but be prepared for more reading & questions. We love the book and the way the women's lives are presented!
This is a great companion tool for Twelve Extraordinary Women. It is lengthy. Be prepared to commit a fair bit of time to the study--but well worth it!
