Although these are translated in KJV English--with thee and thou, "-est" endings on some verbs--many of the translations seem to echo the NT. Many customs, stories about Christmas are here. It's as though the papyrus was banned, but the gist of the buried books live on in songs/carols and customs.
I haven't read it all yet but ill get there. It has a lot of interesting scriptures in it. It's interesting how much the Bible has been edited within its texts over time. What I think is most interesting so far is the depth the scriptures go into with the life of God's virgin Mary and all the preparations that took place before.
Very good written book for all ages should be read by all. Makes you feel like your there when this all was taking place i hope to pass this book on to my grand children for them to read excellently written and worded with the english translation . h.m.
Excellent reference and historical background to so many of the biblical events with which we are all so familiar.
I read Hebrew, so if you are into the Hebrew language then this is for you.

What is there to say about a historic account of the days of religious beginnings cast out because they did not agree with the literary agents of the day.
I always wanted to read these books that were not included in our bible.Why? Maybe we couldn't handle it when the first bible was put out there..
