I use this book to explain to children and through them to adults about what baptism is. It has good theology. Unfortunately it's a bit US Lutheran specific but apart from that it's a great resource and the kids enjoy it. (So do the adults.)
I came across this book a few years ago when looking for something to give the older brother of my goddaughter on the day of her Baptism. He loved it! The book does a great job of explaining the meaning of Baptism as well as some of its on-going implications. It is also very nicely illustrated. Since then, I have given this book to a number of children when a younger sibling was baptized, and in every case it has been well-received. Highly recommended!
This is by far the best book on baptism I have found (for those of us who baptism infants). It explains baptism in a very clear and simple way. I bought this for my 3yo daughter, and it didn't keep her attention, but it was worth it for the first pages and the conversation that ensued.
