For anyone wanting to understand the concept of Hebrew thought, Chaim Bentorah has the gift of presenting Hebrew words in a 'down to earth' way (the way Hebrew was meant to be understoood). He shares this knowledge as you walk with him through his daily life. So you not only learn some Hebrew, but are entertained with a true life biography in a humorous context with which most people would identify.
This is a practical and entertaining book, where Chaim takes us along on his bus to show us applications for using the Word of God. It encouraged me to continue looking at the hand of God in my life and realize there are messages if we are willing to look. Wittingly, Chaim uses his passion for Hebrew word study to show us a deeper understanding of scripture. This has helped me to look at scripture more in-depth and ponder on the verses, rather than just read over the verses.
The author does a great job of tying in lessons from the Bible with his job driving a bus for disabled and elderly people. Every chapter reveals a deeper meaning of a Hebrew word (sometimes more) and is delightful to read.
This is a very unique book. I love to use Bentorah's books for my early morning devotion along side his daily devotions . This book gives insights into "us older folks" attitudes and helped me see more clearly Yahweh's meanings of His words. A must read!!

What I've been looking for, a way to understand the depths of God's Word. There's so much more to translating Hebrew than mere definitions. This author brings out the subtleties.
