Listen, my kids love the "little monkeys" but I used this one to teach my "almost" 4 yr old to count up to and past 100. As reader you might be tempted to gloss over the counting but if your kid is ready this is a great way to teach them to count. Add it to your library so you'll have when they are ready. I was amazed none of the other reviews emphasized this point, so I just had to add my two cents.
This is such a cute book, and helps with counting while entertaining. The pictures intrigue my little great-granddaughters, and they want me to read it to them every time they come! They love the pictures, and like to look for the hiding monkeys.
This is a fantastic book. My 2yr loves it. Its almost impossible to find story books that count to 100 and this book does it so well. My daughter is now counting into the 70s and I attribute that to this book. If you are willing to read this book over and over to your kids desire, its a great learning tool
The five little monkey are left with a baby sitter for the night. They want to play hide and seek. Their baby sitter agrees to one game but it leads to several more. Each time the baby sitter is told to count a little higher and the game gets more intense! They trick her into counting to 104. After that she can't find them anywhere! Mama comes home nd finds them hiding in bed!The book kept the attention of my 2 year old well. Not too many words per page and lots of fun monkey pictures to look at!I would recommend this book to others. The author had written several books with the same monkey characters in them.
My three year old loves the Five Little Monkeys series, this book teaches counting and number recognition. He loves counting the printed numbers as they play hide in seek. We have read this book every night since it has arrived. I would recommend the other 5 little monkey books, they are all great for small children.
This is a fun addition to the rest of Our 5 Little monkey books! Love the way the rhymes flow with each other. My girls LOVE (3 1/2) finding where the monkeys are hiding! Another Great book by Eileen Christelow!
My son has almost all of the five monkeys books, he loves them! In this one lulu the baby sitter play hide and seek and of course the monkeys try to trick her. Great book. And even has counting so your little one can practice
My son (2) is a huge fan of the Five Little Monkeys books. He especially likes this one. Lulu the babysitter makes him laugh, and he loves the counting. He also enjoys trying to find where the monkeys are hidden. I highly recommend this book!
