Great book on bullying by Billy Dawson! It makes for a great tool to talk with your kids about bullying with beautiful illustrations. My daughter loves reading this and loves the characters. Great job Billy!
I ordered this book as a recommendation from my cousin. I didn't know anything about the book but just wanted to support her because she was a friend of the author, and therefore, I wanted to support him too. Yesterday, I finally got the time to sit down and read the book and I can't tell you how impressed I was. I am a 5th grade teacher in Mississippi and I see this type of thing happen daily, sometimes hourly. This book speaks of situations where children bully others only to be informed of what "they didn't know about that child" .... It shows how the bully felt after finding this out and gives such an inspiring way to handle bullying. EVERY single parent and even teacher should read this book to their child(ren) and show them that it is important to be kind, because kindness matters. I would HIGHLY recommend this book and I will be reading this to my 5th grade students Monday morning! I would even love to get a few copies to give to certain children that seem to struggle with wanting to "bully" at school. There is a reason behind their own reason to bully and Billy Dawson has given us all a great tool to help stop this issue.

I urge everyone who has children or grandchildren to purchase this book. Such a beautiful book that teaches children to think about what someone is going through before they speak or take action. It's a great tool to help talk to your children or grandchildren about hurting someone's feelings and how important kindness is in the world. A little bit goes a long way. This is a book for all ages because we all can learn the importance of kindness. Those who know Billy Dawson know how loving and caring he is and that this book was written from his heart. If this book can help just one person to realize what it means to spread just a little bit of kindness everyday then I know my friend Billy would be happy. You Never Know by Billy Dawson is a timely book dealing with bullying. Bullying is not new but fortunately there is a new awareness and push towards stopping the painful and damaging practice. As a teacher for 27 years I wish that I would have had this book to deal with the subject. The book is entertaining but also sends a powerful message to children. Billy’s approach to dealing with the subject is original and brilliant and illustrator Bryan Burk has brought the book to life with awesome color and fun illustrations. This is a book parents and teachers alike should buy for their personal libraries. Well done Billy and Bryan!
Most kids are good hearted, but sometimes they need to be reminded what other's are going through. This book is catchy, colorful and very meaningful. Bullying is a huge issue, but it can be reversed if teachers and parents work together to keep children's childhoods' precious, kind and simple. Kids love this book for that reason-precious, kind and simple. I even have read it many times to my 4 year old granddaughter. I want her to be considerate of others, too. I highly recommend this book! So proud of you, Billy Dawson.
This is such a wonderful book and tool to have open discussions about bullying. It is beautifully written and illustrated and a must read for kids, of all ages. The author of the book, Billy Dawson, wrote this book as a way to educate through love and if you know him, you will know that it comes from a very sincere place in his heart. I would encourage everyone to get this book and really take the message to heart!
