I wrote a lengthy review regarding disappointment/concerns I had about the 4th book (after being an enthusiastic reader of the first three books in the series). I held onto hope that this 5th book would turn things around. In many ways it has. Sarah Price is an extremely gifted author and my heart and prayers go out to her after learning of the health challenges she battled while completing this series. As before, I purchased the kindle book and excellent audible performance by Amy McFadden. There are a lot of things to like about book five--many special, memorable moments. I was so pleased with the conversation about faith in chapter eight. There was also a lot of tension and some disappointment as the story unfolded. Do I agree with all of the author's choices? No--but it is her story, not mine. Do I feel some of the intimacy is a bit overdone? Yes. Do I feel the relationship Amanda has with God demonstrates the fullness and joy of following Jesus? No. Do I feel Alejandro's growing faith and demonstration of that faith moves quickly & strongly enough? No. However, in my opinion this series has a lot of value..is very well-written and captures the reader's attention and imagination. It also clearly provokes a lot of thought, emotion, response , introspection, and evaluation.... SPOILERS: I was so excited to read the end of the book and the epilogue! Simply wonderful! I don't want to be greedy, but could we please have one more book in this series that takes what has been learned, committed to, and embraced at the conclusion of this book and 'walks it out'......I just feel there is more to be gleaned and such a wealth of possibilities for a book 6 in this series! Truly I do! I am not a writer but I can imagine lots of touching, endearing and numerous moments with Isadora and Sofia.

And I was wondering how this was going to work out.I would have to say that although Amanda and Alejandro were interesting enough people, it was just an okay story. It could have been so much more.....Although I could see the struggle of both MC's to adjust to the other's life style and upbringing. I still found it hard to connect to the story and most of the people.Alejandro's stage persona "Viper" and the surrounding groupies and some celebrities caused a lot of problems when it came to their personal life. Amanda had welcomed Alejandro's daughter (Isadora) with open arms and that did add some warm moments.The book really did show how tough it was to have a real relationship with so much fakeness and backstabbing people around. She began to see the truth that there were very few real friendships in the business.
