The only reason I am keeping this is because it was a Christmas present from a loved one and has great sentimental value. The cover of the bible is very pretty; I like it a lot. Another thing that I like is the lines provided for journaling. The funny thing, though, is that the pages are very thin for it being a journaling bible. The slightest mark (no matter what color or type of writing utensil used) will bleed through. I decided I would use sticky notes instead like I did with my old bible but even putting a sticky note and later taking it off will easily leave crease marks on the pages (not to mention, if I was going to use sticky notes, I could have just kept my old bible). Having pages that thin defeats the purpose of the JOURNALING bible. Something I thought was weird was that Jesus's dialogue was not in red but hey it's not that big of a deal. Aesthetically, it's a nice bible and it serves it's purpose (to be read) but if you're wanting to write heavy notes, this may not be the bible for you.
I can't say enough good things about my "doodle" bible! It's just what I wanted. Easy to read and room to create. What an awesome way to make God's Word into a visual memory! Would be a great gift for the artist or writer! Can't wait to fill the pages and pass it on to my grandkids.
It has very nice 2 1/4" margins (text to edge) and paper is a little thicker than standard bible paper. You still have to be careful of the inks you use so that they don't bleed through, but I found my Cricut pens and Gel pens worked wonderfully. I'm told you can also Gesso it for watercolors and other wet media to keep it from wrinkling up.
This journal bible is fantastic. I was very surprised & pleased with the imitation leather. I was concerned it may feel like plastic, but it has a suede feeling to it. I cannot wait to begin journaling in it!
The print is small: 8 point font. The Bible cover says the print is standard size -- not true. I returned the Bible because of the small print.I'm disappointed because I wanted a Bible which has room for my notes.There are no maps or concordance.
Cover is soft, sturdy and eye catching. I don't care if the font is small (I find it adorable). It has plenty of space to write as well. The only problem is that the pages are thin and delicate. Therefore you need to be careful (then again it IS God's holy word, is it not treasure?) When I write it shows just s little bit on the next page. But that's ok! Came in and good shape and quality. Can't wait to start taking notes. I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't sensitive. If you don't mind these small issues you should totally get it.

I cannot say enough good things about this Bible. I bought it for my 12 1/2 year old son who has a brain tumor. The cover is great, binding is great, pages are great! They aren't as thin as I expected after reading some reviews. Yes, there is some bleed through, but can you imagine a Bible with pages thick enough to NOT have bleed thru? Yikes. I suggest using a light touch when marking, or colored pencils. I think my son will have this for many many years to come. I underlined my favorite verse (Jeremiah 29:11) and made a "mommy doodle" for him to find someday. He leaves for church camp next week, and I plan to wrap this and hide it in his duffle bag. So glad I ordered this, and I'll be buying more me myself and my other two sons. :-) The cover is a much richer brown in person.
