If you are looking for practice worksheets then this book works. However, there are no instructions whatsoever in the book, so if you don't know how to add fractions then you will have no guide. It gives no explanations. Answers are provided, in the back, but the book does not show how the problems are done. The answers are a bit confusing, too, because problems aren't numbered-the answers are done by page and listed in a row. You have to follow a long. There isn't a lot of room to work out problems. For us, this book worked, as we were just looking for a way to review fractions, but it would have been nice to have examples shown!
I love this advanced fractions workbook! My biggest complaint with other workbooks and texts is not enough practice problems, however, this book is filled with problems to solve. There is a beginning assessment test and a final assessment test. The workbook has a total of 5 sections and each section includes a diagnostic test as well. Beware there are no "how-to" instructions simply practice problems. If you don't already know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions this won't teach you. If you are looking for additional work problems to practice then you will find this workbook helpful. Although it's not a large workbook (only 34 pages total), you can't beat the price!
My 10 year old was struggling with her fractions & the teacher recommended this book. It really helped her understand & learn.
