I found this a local bookstore for my son. Although he's a little young, I would recommend it for a 3rd grader and up. My husband is a huge racing fan so my son (& I) can appreciate the information in the book. It talks about the shape of cars, tires, driver's seat, driving skills, flag meanings, various circuits/tracks, driving tactics, etc. It's quite detailed, yet readable for an elementary student. Personally, I think this a very cool book! Not babyish, but not a manual. Check if out if you have a racing fan!
