ok for k-1 would not use this book for an advanced student or an older student. Most of what is in the book is good for a beginning reader. Advanced students would not much as most of the book is common sense for a child over 7 or 8. The text is nice for a beginning reader but anything this level will not be gaining much specific information during lessons. good graphics for a young student that will hold interest.
Used in public schools, so keep that in mind for homeschooling. Lots of assignments, charts, quizzes and essays. Its alright for what we need to cover the basics of 3rd grade Social studies, but I won't be buying again. However I am very pleased with the quality for what I paid for a used book, and I was happy with the shipping.
I bought this for my son who recently started homeschooling. It is exactly what I needed to continue his Social Studies program from his school. Quality wise, it is good, not great, but it'll do for my purposes. No complaints.
I bought this for my daughter to help her understand more about communities. She loves it and it was in great condition
