Well, I finally got my wish -- this is the most comprehensive and jammed pack reference book released by Stephen M. Miller to date. He has taken all of his works and made it into a Illustrated Bible Dictionary that has people, places, Bible book summaries, historical events, Bible doctrine, and almost anything associated with the Bible and history, and put it in the most attractive and visually pleasing book that will fascinate both a newbie to the Bible, and a most ardent Bible student. The price on is also amazing and even at $19.99 you are getting a fabulous bargain considering how much research and editing went into this detailed volume. This is truly your BEST book, Mr. Miller, and I thank you for your dedication to your craft for presenting the Bible, God's Word, and the greatest piece of Literature ever written. I never thought I would see the day that the Bible could be this available to the masses, with scholarship and free from religious dogmatism and buzzwords of Evangelical fundamentalism.You can either read it as a dictionary or read it from cover to cover from A to Z. What is unique about this book is that it has no index because each of the entries has a chain that you can follow by looking up words in small caps. For instance, if you are reading about the Ark of the Covenant, you can then turn to Tabernacle, Temple, Levites, Aaron, etc. and read more information. The dictionary is in Milleresque language, with his unique way of explaining the Bible -- at most times, very appropriate and enticing. Miller has attempted, and succeeds, to do what many Bible scholars have tried to do -- explain the Bible without boring us to death!We have been using Miller's "Complete Guide to the Bible" in our Community Book/Bible study that meets at our church.
