Ok the book is nice - reading, illustrations, etc. The cover and and back of the book seem very sturdy and solid. HOWEVER the inside pages are SOOOOO thin. It is the cheapest thinnest cardboard. I like to let my 11 month old explore books and turn pages. She love looking at books in the car-seat so i try no encourage this behavior by buying her all kinds of books. But it will be hard for her little finger to separate the pages, bite on the pages etc. The pages inside will easily be destroyed if you don watch them use this book. I think ill use it for our bed time stories ONLY- in order to preserve it.
This is a very cute book, and perfect for introducing basic concepts about God to toddlers and younger preschoolers. My son isn't old enough yet to understand some of the deeper concepts other Christian children's books include, but this is perfect -- things like how God loves us, how we can talk to him, how he's with us. In this instance, it's great that it's pretty short because it's not too much for him to digest at one time. It's been a great conversation starter for us as well as he begins to understand just who God is and how much he cares for us.
Thank You God for Blessing Me" written by Max Lucado is a children's board book. It is written in lyrical rhythmic lines telling a story that teaches toddlers, ages two to five, about thanking God for all He has given us as well as to doing the best they can to be kind and obey.There is a clear message in this prayer and easy to comprehend for this age group. The illustrations are colorful and Little Hermie, though a plain caterpillar, his eyes seem to sparkle. It's soft, sweet illustrations really catch your child's eye. I being the mother to a 3 and 4 year old had the perfect test demographic. Hermie is my new favorite character! I just love him! The messages in these books are beautiful and really focus on being humble and thankful. I would not expect less from Max Lucado - he is just a wonderful Christian and writer! The series is just great!
This little book is so sweet. The pictures are adorable and the message is simple, 'God Loves Me'. I debated to purchase or not because there are so few pages with only a sentence or two on each, but I was drawn to the book cover picture. I am so glad that I did go ahead and purchase! I plan to give this to my great-nephew for his Baptism. Even my husband really liked it and he could care less about 'kid's stuff'. The message is wonderful and the pictures are precious. Buy it! I will look for other books by this author in the future.
Need More Pages...This is a good book and a great read but looking at it from the computer you would think that it would have more pages than it already has. It cost too much to pay for a book with just a few pages.
These books by Max Lucado are perfect for teaching little ones about God. The illustrations are adorable and the message so simple that your child will understand. I have several and they are the first ones that are brought to me for reading. Highly recommend. I almost forgot to mention that they are very reasonably priced and quite sturdy.
This book (or what I thought was a book) was only 1 page with a short poem on it! for $3.99 it was a rip-off. Not happy with this purchase. People should be aware of what they are getting. I expected at least a 5 to 10 page story book...not happy that I wasted my money and because it is a digital purchase there is no returns. Product descriptions should be more specific.
