Reading this book truly felt like I was being introduced to someone I thought I had always known. I found myself reading certain parts over and over again not because it was difficult to understand but because I did not want to miss anything. There is a new hunger in my heart to grow more intimately with Jesus. I want to share this book with everyone I know. I don't want anyone to miss one single moment of walking in the power, truth and love the Holy Spirit brings. I know that after reading The Holy Spirit: An Introduction I have grown in my knowledge and understanding of how to grow deeper in my relationship with Him.

What an amazing awareness of the person of the Holy Spirit! In this book, John Bevere recognizes the divine sovereignty of the Spirit. John points out how many times we have failed to appreciate the Spirit in the same ways we do with the Father and Jesus, even though the Holy Spirit is the one who lives among us and in us. One of my favorite quotes from the book is, "As a Church, we've chosen to view Him as a 'holy entity' rather than as One who is most holy. His desire is to be our closest friend, yet we have limited His involvement in our lives. The sad truth is we have inadvertently rejected the most fulfilling relationship available to us." Though I've grown up in my walk with the Lord recognizing the power and desperate need for the presence of the Spirit, I have had to stop and take a look at how I have perceived Him. I realized that I have been guilty of placing the Spirit at the "bottom" of the Godhead. While reading this book, I have begun to change the way I address Him in my everyday life, and it has been crazy what a difference I have seen! My sensitivity to His presence has greatly increased, and my desire for Him is growing more and more daily.Something that I really like about how this book is written is that each chapter is broken up day-by-day, with a devotional that goes along with each reading. This allows time for the reader to digest and meditate upon the Holy Spirit.I feel this is such an important aspect of my faith! I will definitely be recommending this book!!

Where the Holy Spirit is allowed to reign, there is liberty! This book was a catalyst to tremendous change in my heart and life! I discovered that the Holy Spirit is my true love and the source of every good thing in this earth. If we give Him the permission to do so, the Holy Spirit will heal every wound in our hearts and bring peace and joy such as we have never known. He will free us from every bondage and mindset that keeps us from the abundant life that Jesus died to give us. As he always does, John Bevere provides very complete scriptural support as well as practical examples and testimonies that illustrate the truths he shares. We must always be careful to believe WHAT WE READ and not read WHAT WE BELIEVE in the Word of God. The Word of God is our foundation and we judge the world based on how it fits into that truth, and not vice-versa. As we continue to see end-time events unfolding, it becomes increasingly important to be sure that we have eyes to see and ears to hear. Those eyes and ears can only be kept from deception by the power of the Holy Spirit! This book will give you a great revelation of who the Holy Spirit is and how He operates as well as how you can walk in submission to His leading and do even greater things than Jesus did! (John 14:12)

This book gives clear teaching about the Holy Spirit. What I particularly love, is that the author backs up everything he says with tons of scripture. I really want to be able to see what scripture says, not just what a person has to say. I highly recommend!

Many people seem to have many questions about the Holy Spirit.John Bevere has done an amazing job answering and explaining what many people are asking. As someone who has a good understanding of who the Holy Spirit is, I wasn't sure what to expect.I have taught on the person of the Holy Spirit many times, so I honestly wasn't expecting to read anything new.Boy was I wrong. As always, John Bevere writes with such an anointing that the pages of his work are filled with enlightening information.John's teaching on the Holy Spirit is very helpful for our lives today. He does a great job explaining many different aspects of the Holy Spirit.Because of my commitment to review this book, I read it straight through, skimming the daily devotionals.During my journey through the book, I realized the value that will be added by slowing down and reading it over a period of 30 days.My only issue was with the layout in the Kindle Version. For someone reading this work as a 30-day devotional, the lay-out is not user friendly. The content of this book is material that must be read and studied by everyone. You won't be the same after reading and discovering the power of knowing the Holy Spirit.I highly recommend the book and all the available resources.

This is an amazing teaching on the Holy Spirit. This book has brought more insight and understanding to me than any other teaching. It is easy to understand, but rich in-depth material and scriptures.
