Excellent material except if you have the MacArthur Study Bible you have the exact information, word for word, in your Study Bible. I actually returned the item when I realized I already had the information. If you don't have the full Study Bible, you are missing a real valuable source of information.
Warning- the kindle edition and print edition are different. I purchased this for kindle but when I was at bible study my book didn't match the paperback others had. They are similar but it has been difficult in some chapters to follow along as the ebook version hasn't been updated to reflect revisions to the most recent print copy.
Used the book for our church's Bible study and they questions are quite thought provoking. Really enjoyed the space to write notes.
I like this study book to go along with my study of Ephesians in our community group. I use this book to back my bible verses as it breaks down the verses to a deeper level to understand what the author was trying to communicate to the reader.
My family is enjoying the layout of the book. Three story sections to help build understanding, depth, and application for each segment of Ephesians. Good questions to facilitate thinking and discussions.
This book takes you through the epistle of Ephesians. John MacArthur provides some great insights into the meaning behind the words Paul wrote to the Ephesians. His insights allow us to see ourselves in this letter. The questions were also very useful and trigger good conversation.
Highly recommend this study guide book for those who want to learn more about Paul's epistle to the Ephesians. This book also gives practical application of the immeasurable blessings Christians have received in their lives.
I expected this Ephesians Bible Study from John MacArthur to be yet another piece from MacArthur full of in-depth knowledge and insight to the book of Ephesians, much like his Bible Commentary and Bible Handbook, both of which I own and love. However, this is basically a book filled with a few short pages of information and then multiple pages of questions for you to write in your thoughts. This format is just repeated throughout the book. This may be great for some, but this is not what I expected of really wanted. This Ephesians Bible Study may have it's place in small groups or even Sunday School, but I have not found it useful for my personal Bible Study.
