It is worth while to go a great way for the salvation though but of one soul. Observe,I. Who this Nicodemus was. Not many mighty and noble are called; yet some are, and here was one. Not many of the rulers, or of the Pharisees; yet. 1. This was a man of the Pharisees, bred to learning, a scholar. Let it not be said that all Christ's followers are unlearned and ignorant men. The principles of the Pharisees, and the peculiarities of their sect, were directly contrary to the spirit of Christianity; yet there were some in whom even those high thoughts were cast down and brought into obedience to Christ. The grace of Christ is able to subdue the greatest opposition. 2. He was a ruler of the Jews, a member of the great sanhedrim, a senator, a privy-counsellor, a man of authority in Jerusalem. This book is impossilbe to navigate.You get the table of contents - and then have to trawl through the list of contentsto get to different books.OR you can hit the forward button on the side.You cant even go directly to the New Testament.I tried searching for the different volumes - I thought that would get me partway through the book.. But that didnt work either.I hope that  can get this corrected.
I got the sample and really liked it.... BUT am returning the full version. It is not possible to go to a specific location without turning pages all through starting with Genesis! it is basically impossible to use. I wish there was a way to do it... I have Kindle Fire and the info says it is supposed to work! It doesn't.
Would be better if it was easier to look up passages as you have to go to the table of contents, page by page to get to the book you want to research
I was excited to get such a bargain for one of the greatest commentaries on the Bible, however, after realizing I had to go through every book to get to the end, that is a lot of scrolling, too much scrolling. Please fix this and you will have a real blessing for those who study God's Word.
I have to go to the table of contents and scroll through the whole index to get to the book I want. After that, it's easy. I would like it better if I could have a more concise index that would enable me to go directly to the desired passage. The information is good.
Essential reference material for my research and sermon writing. Comprehensive and accurate. It's a bit dated, so the latest research isn't included - it's best to pair this a more recent commentary - with but the theological analysis is very good.
When I try to use the "SEARCH" to look up verses it does not work. I put in the verse and I wait & wait. Too bad because Matthew Henry has great commentaries for study. It takes a very long time to look up verses by paging.
Despite not having all the navigation whistles & bells, this resource is incredible. There is so much wisdom, perspective and content. We all seem to want information instantly and when we have to work a little bit to get that answer, so many fail to go forward. There is gold throughout these volumes. Your toil to reveal the nuggets will pay great dividends. God Bless you all.
