Comic Book Review (6.5/10) "Okay"Batman #6 "I Am Gotham Epilogue"Writer: Tom KingPencils: Ivan ReisPlot: Batman, with the help of Gotham Girl, has stopped Gotham's rampage of Gotham City after Gotham and Gotham Girl were infected by the Psycho Pirate. In a last attempt to save Gotham City and its citizens, Gotham Girl killed Gotham. She is still infected by fear and is also suffering from the trauma of killing her own brother. Can Batman help Gotham Girl deal with her pain and loss before she burns up all of her powers and dies too?This is a post-I am Gotham storyline issue and it's main purpose seems to be Batman recruiting Gotham Girl in order to help her deal with her pain. It seems Batman views her pain as a similar pain that Batman also lived through after losing his own parents, and he sympathizes her. It seems Gotham Girl has a total mental breakdown as she even shaves off her hair in the first page of the issue. This scene reminded me of Britney Spears when she went crazy momentarily and shaved off her hair. I felt like I really didn't need all of the extra exposition after the scene of her shaving off her own hair because that scene was shocking enough to convince me that something was really wrong with her. The book felt like it dragged on too long and was trying really hard to use the payoff of Bruce helping Gotham Girl to make the book a poignant piece, but I thought this story could've been told with half the number of pages.It tries to be a very emotional issue, but with very little forward momentum. It seems King wanted to wrap up Gotham Girl's story before moving on to the next arc of Batman's book and doesn't really adventure out much away from the Gotham Girl "emotional breakdown" story.
