This book should actually be a Marvel Masterwork as it covers the beginning of Shield's run in Strange Tales. It covers the beginning of Shield under Nick Fury right up to the Steranko take over. The art is mostly Kirby, so you know its gonna have a lot of action. I highly recommend it!
Great production values!
Even with the TV series, the classic SHIELD has always been my favorite. It was a time when the comic book industry was still experimenting and blending the spy genre with the superheros world was a great idea.
Sgt. Fury of Shield had everything I loved in comic books - great characters, a little humor, lots of action, and some great "secret agent" stuff. Love this series as drawn by Kirby!
