Be Rich (Ephesians): Gaining The Things That Money Can't Buy (The BE Series Commentary)
Ebooks Online

In a society where wealth is often the measurement of success, popular author and Bible teacher Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe unravels Ephesians to reveal the countercultural nature of the Gospel. Through helpful illustrations and analysis, he opens our eyes to the riches that we already have in Christ—though we rarely take advantage of them. We are saved through faith, and with this gift come many other blessings. We have the Holy Spirit to empower us for the work of the Kingdom. We have the necessary spiritual armor to fight off enemy attacks. We have the promise of eternity with a loving Father and perfect God. But not only has God given us the promise of an eternity in heaven—He has given us the reality of a relationship with Him on right here on earth. Be encouraged in this good news and stop seeking the things of this world, for we already have the priceless gift of eternal life in Christ!

The book covers the Letter of Paul to the Ephesians (New Testament). We used this book in a small home bible study. The format of the book makes it easy for people to read the chapter and do the questions at home and then to come to the bible study prepared for discussion. The book content and our answers to questions were a good springboard for some very interesting conversations among us. The chapter questions aren't always "the best" (rumor has it Wiersbe did not write them himself), so I recommend you provide yourselves the flexibility to dispute the actual question (which also lends itself to good discussion) -- maybe even skipping a few or rewording a few. As a group, we got so much out of using this book, we have decided to continue with other Wiersbe "Be" series books.

A great "beginner' book on Ephesians. Not that Wiersbe cannot go to deep places in his teaching and writing. He simply has a gift to make a book concise through hitting the high and important spots. Plus, as he hits these "spots' he gives a great overview and understanding of where the author of Ephesians is wanting to lead the reader. Lastly, he, Wiersbe leads to a place where one begins to think and dig deeper. He is a gift to the body of christ and I found this book helpful. Tom T

I am a Leadership Pastor at a church and I gave this book to all my small group leaders who are going through the book of Ephesians. Wiersbe is easy to read, but his theology is spot on. It has provided them the confidence to address the difficult questions that come up in their group discussions as well as provide them a depth of study that is not found in a study Bible. There are many great commentaries out there, but many of them require a working knowledge of Greek/Hebrew or at minimal a great understanding as to how to use them. This is not like those. This book is written for the everyday person who wants to know more about the Bible.I use it myself as well. It offers some great insight and puts simple words to complex thoughts. If you are studying in the book of Ephesians, grab this as a guide. It even has some discussion questions at the end of each chapter to help you out.

Great study on a book I've read countless times but somehow missed all of the riches that are available to us in Jesus. After completing this study I feel blessed, humbled, and like a spiritual millionaire! And to clarify, this is NOT a "prosperity doctrine" type teaching. This study shows the reader the spiritual treasures available to the believer--and they are many and wondrous. I'm now looking at my walk with Christ through new eyes and appreciating so much more what he did for me. Wonderful commentary on Ephesians.

As usual, Wiersbe is right on target with his insightful study of this text. Though I have read Ephesians, I have never understood it as I do not; and I can see why Warren Wiersbe says that we are rich in the things of God. I had never thought of this text like that, and I am so excited when I delve into this commentary each night. My Bible is right beside the commentary as I read and study and gain a better understanding of what God is showing and telling me about my rich inheritance.

Wiersbe writes in a fashion that easily communicates subtleties within the texts. It is excellent reference for personal learning or group study. I will be purchasing more of the Wiersbe commentaries.

Easy to follow, well written so no trouble understanding. Very practical in presentation and logically organized. This is the 2nd book in the series and I find it to be applicable to everyday life.

All of Warren Wierbe's "Be" books are very helpful for Bible study. He goes step-by-step through, in this case Ephesians, and explains the setting and the meanings of words that were used in that time period. He also brings in supporting scripture where necessary. He never talks above the readers head. His books are useful tools whether you're new to Bible study or have been studying for years.
