My eldest daughter is all about learning things about the world around her and she was so excited to receive this book. She dived right in and started to bring up facts at the strangest times... it made dinner conversation fun and engaging and I could tell that she really enjoyed the book overall. I was impressed with the amount of facts and records that were shared in the book, and with amazingly full intense colors you get to not only read about the records, but experience many of them first hand also!
My daughter loves to read facts and learn about things that nobody knows.Be the first to tell your friends some unbelievable facts.
You're kids will get more from this than exchanging texts, messages on FB, or watching Nick. But you may get irritated with the constant "Dad, did you know......" after you hear it 500 times. Still I'd much rather have my kids reciting facts to me than celebrity Teen gossip.
Bought this for my 2nd grader as a reward for a good report card. He has really enjoyed it. I am glad that he is loving to read it and learning interesting facts at the same time. Nice pictures. Wish they had a hardback as he is really hard on books.
This is a must see for all children. Sparks many conversations and there's always more to look at! Look forward to each year's publication!
My son saw this book in the Scholastic circular he received from school. As usual, I compared it to the price. With Prime, the total was less, so I bought it from .My son LOVES this book. He keeps it handy (i.e., I find it in various places around the house). After the inital long span of time he spent with the book, he know refers to it or reads it from time to time. I asked him if he still enjoys it and I received a resounding YES.I plan to buy the 2014 edition when it comes out.
Santa got this for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. Geared for younger audiences and much more reader friendly than the adult oriented books of the same type. Highly recommend for younger readers.
I purchased this for my son for Christmas, per his request. He reads it all the time. The pictures are good. Husband also occasionally flips through. Good book that'll hang out around the house for awhile.
