Something that every Christian should read and understand. Young children use to get this growing up and now we have thrown in the trash. Our society reveals the fact that we do not hold these tenants any longer. The result is growing chaos a sense of unrest in society
Excellent. Just because it's old doesn't mean it's no longer applicable. The framers of the Protestant religion put creeds and catechisms together for the purpose of helping the believer not steer away from the core, foundational truths of scripture, which is quite easy in today's world of churches approaching members as a consumer, needing to be satisfied in order to stay.
I purchased this item because it was well spoken of by Justin Holcomb in "Know the Creeds and Councils". I was not disappointed, it is clear and concise. It's divided into three parts and then into 52 "sections" for Lord's Days. I recommend it to anyone else who also struggles in their Christian walk. For instance, the sections on the Lord's Supper and the Lord's Prayer are inspiring and instructional.
This catechism is great for reading through devotionally since it is split into different Lord's Day meditations. Scripture proof would have been a welcome addition though. Overall, great value!
Very comprehensive and makes for a great study reference book to add to my library. I recommend it to anyone who want to further understand reformed church beliefs.
