One of the greatest and most in-depth books about the song of Songs that treats it as the spiritual relationship between the soul and Our Lord Jesus Christ rather than the false modern approach that treats it as a love song instead of delving deeper into the true meaning behind it. This is one of the greatest books that I have read in the Puritan Paperback series.
I was thrilled to come across this book as well as be introduced to its author. The thesis of this book has been controversial among contemporary Christians. I have agreed with this use of Song of Solomon for many years. However, I had not come across many resources supporting this view until now. This book is a wonderful tribute to the love Christ has for His church as well as for true believers.In addition, I love the writing of Richard Sibbes. His writing is clear, biblical, and a pleasure to read. I have already purchased other books by this author and look forward to reading them.

Sibbes' books are always full of Biblical wisdom, and deep love for Christ, that helps by God's grace and Spirit to draw your affections toward God, so that you more precisely want to serve Him, long to be with Him and have more of Him, and you more vehemently hate sin!
