I wanted something simple that would offer words of encouragement to my niece, as she headed off to college. This book has really good encouragement for different situations that a young woman may face, and they are backed up with a verse of scripture. It is a small book that will fit nicely in a dorm room, and I pray that the encouragement from God's word will help guide her at college.
I bought 2 of these books Prayers for Young Women for my daughter & niece to have so when they come to a situation in life that they may have something to go to for the answers. GOD has the answers to everything and I am so grateful for this book by Stomie Omartian & her daughter-in-law Paige Omartian. My daughter loves this book and she told me that this was the best gift that I could have given her. That blessed me so much.
My eyes were drawn to this book in the teen section of my local Christian bookstore!I loved the color, the size, and not to mention the price!Stormie and Paige are amazing Christian women; this book covers so many different prayer topics that all pertain to what young women go through.Every prayer is Scripture-based and straight from the heart.Plus Stormie and Paige's stories are so inspiring and encouraging.I would definitely recommend this to teenage girls and also young women in their early twenties.It's sure to be a treasure for right now and many years to come!!:)
I purchased this for my daughter as a small graduation gift last year. I also purchased several for her to give to her closest friends who were also graduating. This book has been an absolute treasure for these girls. Each one of the girls has contacted my daughter to tell her how much this little prayer book means to them at this time in their lives. My daughter has this book with her at all times and has told me it was her favorite graduation gift. I don't think there is a life circumstance that these young ladies could be dealing with that is not covered in this book of prayers! I have never written a review before now and want to make sure that this book gets the recognition it deserves. It is the perfect gift for any young woman. As a mother, I can't think of better gift for a child, than the gift of prayer. I only wish they would put out a version for my sons.
Beautiful on inside..beautiful prayers. Not liking outside as much as the last book with beautiful illustrations . Plus, 's not exactly as shown here on outside. Lokks a little juvenile with a metal heart attached.
I bought this at the beginning of the year, and my 13 year old daughter and I are reading an entry almost nightly. The content is great, and the entries are short enough that we can fit them in almost every day.
I purchased this book for my daughter. I found it to be practical and easy to read. The prayers cover various topics pertaining to young women. The book itself could be more thought provoking a little to much generalized for today's generation of young women who may not have been raised in a churches not necessarily Christian environment.
I use this book very often. Sometimes I don't know what to say when I'm trying to pray and this book has helped my prayer life tremendously!
