I bought this book for my 4 year old granddaughter, Lily, and soon she was able to sound out all the words and read the book to her younger brother. She loves to learn and she loves this book!
Level 1 reader is stretching it. Uses contractions (they're, it's) which is not typically level 1. Very simple sentense and the text is not always related to the illustration.I would not purchase this again as I really wanted a book my granddaughter could read on her own. This one was not it.
I was looking for easy beginner reading books for my grandchild and stumbled upon this book. I am so glad I found this book. She loves it!
this is a good book for a level 1 reader. there are short, action oriented sentences that match the pictures. the words are sight words but also since they match the picture, the child can figure out what is happening
Very simple, repetitive, nice first reader. My child does get bored with it due to to the simplicity but overall, great to help first readers. Buy it with other books and rotate so as to help prevent the boredom.
I bought this for my 2.5 year old daughter who just started reading over a month ago & my 6 year old nephew. My daughter was about to read 6 out of 10 words, & my nephew is able to read 9 out or 10 words & he's been reading since he started first grade. Both love this book!
Winning or losing is not the lesson learned. It is how to play together. To cooperate as a team member. Great rhyming. Easy read. Great level for my two grandsons. They don't seem to get enough!!
Wonderful illustrations, simple and few words. This book is perfect for my kindergartener/soccer player who is working on reading and sight words.My only complaint is that the packaging was minimal, no protection at all. The book was bent and folded in numerous places.
