The writing, the penciling and the coloring are all exceptional.While the first volume was a mix of character backstories and a (gentle) laying out of the plot, this volume throws us right into a complex story where we get to see a three of the five principal characters in action. Viv Headland is the central actor of this volume - his Sherlock Holmes like deductive skills are put on full display here. The interplay between the major characters is interesting and occasionally amusing.This is a team of individuals with exceptional skills that have come together to solve a major problem....that they are responsible for creating a few years earlier while working for the government. Ellis loves his metaphors.
I enjoyed this follow-up volume in the Injection series: the artwork is clear and well-executed and the storyline is reasonably easy to follow at first, although I'd advise reading Volume 1 first.It's difficult to explain what is going on as, like in Volume 1, it's all a bit confusing as the supernatural and science clash and inter-mingle. This volume can stand alone in terms of its plot which I cannot begin to explain. Fun stuff in its own way.
Had higher expectations after the first one, story line and characters fell short.
