Ignore the other review, this book is written by Rick Riordan, and is a very entertaining read. It helps offer insight into the asgardian universe and adds more story to the characters. Definitely worth the money, especially while waiting for the hammer of Thor.
This was so funny! I loved every page ! It's like the Greek gods and goddess book , only a lot more funny with interviews with some of the Norse gods ! Great lines and a little look into the next Magnus chase book!
I found this to be interesting, informative and fun. I really enjoyed the fact that he included a pronunciation guide at the end. Those Norse words are hard to pronounce. I recommend Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla Guide to the Norse Worlds.
This is a primer, narrated by the manager of the hotel in Valhalla for the recently deceased residents. Valhalla, if you recall, is where warriors who die in battle end up (those who die dishonorable, either by old age or disease, go to Hel, which is cold). It explains the basic characters and creatures of Norse mythology with a tongue so firmly planted in cheek it's practically touching the clavicle.Very short, very entertaining, and written by the author who brings you the Percy Jackson series, and he has YA series with Magnus and the Norse Gods. I've always liked Norse mythology (I'd vote for Thor before Trump, they have the same subtleties) and this was a fun way to review the major and minor characters.
First Rick Riordan book I haven't loved, I just didn't find this book funny or an informative read.It was very fragmented with little info, the majority of the gods/beings/creatures were summed up in just 4 sentences. The 2 page stories where too short to really catch your interest before they were over and the brief interviews felt like some awkward kid making a bad joke.
Love his work...he doesn't disappoint. Another great informational work. He has a way of telling a story that makes you keep reading

Rick Riordan is a great author! I get almost everything he writes. Enjoyed book! Will look for more to come!
